What is black-tie optional?

Gentlemen (and fashion-forward ladies) you're in luck if you have a tuxedo you've been dying to wear and have been waiting for the right occasion to bust it out. For women wearing dresses, our wedding is the perfect opportunity to debut the long, formal gown you've been eager to strut your stuff in. If you don't have a tuxedo on hand and don't want to rent one, we recommend wearing a dark, formal suit. Similarly for ladies who don't have a gown and/or a Rent the Runway account, we suggest a more formal cocktail dress. Essentially we want everyone looking their best and dressed to the nines to celebrate our nuptials.


what time should I arrive?

We ask guests to please arrive by 3PM and no later than 3:30PM. We hope to have all guests seated promptly at 3:45PM so we can start the ceremony on time and then...proceed to the eats, toasts and PARTY!


are children invited to attend?

While we are not heartless people who do in fact love children, please be advised that this is an adults-only affair. We ask all parents and caregivers to please make the appropriate childcare arrangements ahead of time.


what is the nearest airport?

The closest airport to Middletown is Bradley International in Hartford, Connecticut which is roughly 31 miles and 30 mins away by car. For guests who prefer to fly into New York City area airports, LaGuardia is 97 miles away, John F. Kennedy is 104 miles away and Newark Liberty International  Airport is 117 miles away. There is no direct public transportation from any airport to Middletown so we suggest renting a car or utilizing a taxi service to get to the hotel/venue.

will the ceremony and reception take place at the same location?

Yes, both the ceremony and reception will take place at The Wadsworth Mansion. Less travel in between means more party overall. You are welcome.


how do i get to and from the ceremony from the hotel?

If you are staying at The Four Points by Sheraton Meriden, the hotel has provided a shuttle for our exclusive use to ferry guests to and from the venue both before and after the entire turn up. If you prefer to drive on your own, there is ample parking onsite. The total drive time from the hotel to The Wadsworth Mansion is less than 20 mins.
